On that remarkable Friday, June 23rd, our Goose Island team united as we embarked on a thrilling journey to Royal Ascot. At Goose Island, we continuously strive to stand out and create a strong sense of community for our cherished customers.

We were drawn to the atmosphere of creativity, the audacious fashion choices, and the celebration of individuality that Royal Ascot embodies.

Attending Royal Ascot together as a team was not only an opportunity to showcase our exceptional occasion wear, but it was also a chance to connect with like-minded fashion enthusiasts, industry professionals, and individuals who appreciate the artistry of fashion.

A Fashionable Expedition:

 

Despite my well-known reputation at the office for not being a morning person, I surprised even myself when I realized there was no trace of dread as I set my 5am alarm.

In fact, the anticipation of what awaited me the next morning filled me with such excitement that I found it difficult to sleep at all!

Enchanted by Ascot's Magic:

Ascot welcomed us with an atmosphere that was nothing short of mesmerising. 

The sound of bagpipes filled the air as we made our way towards the Queen Anne Enclosure.

With every step we took from the car park, our eyes were treated to a feast of remarkable fashion choices that left us in awe.  

We couldn't help but share our excitement, exchanging glances and pointing out our favourite ensembles and hats.

Meeting Our Incredible Customers: 

One of the most memorable parts of the day was meeting some of our incredible Goose Island customers.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Anna and Julie, two lovely souls who we instantly clicked with over a mocktail in the sunshine.

It was a reminder of the amazing community we've built, where Goose Island isn't just about clothes—it's about fostering connections and boosting each other's confidence.

Our competition winner, Sarah, accompanied by her friend and husband, instantly became part of our Goose Island family. As we clinked glasses of bubbly on the garden terrace chatting as if we had known each other for years.

Sarah looked absolutely stunning in her Goose Island Petunia dress, radiating confidence.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Ascot, we bumped into Janice, one of our loyal Goose Island customers.

Can you imagine the giggle we shared when we realized Janice, Cerys, and Katie all chose the same Goose Island handbag for the occasion? Talk about having a shared sense of style!

We marvelled at the connections we forge through fashion and how it brings us together, creating unforgettable moments and friendships.

 

Facebook Live and Cherished Moments:

The Harrogate Spring Water Bar became our stage for a Facebook Live session that will forever be etched in our memories.

It was a first going live with an audience of ascot attendees behind the camera as well as some of our customers who usually watch behind a screen!

Sipping on delectable raspberry cocktails, we shared a moment with our customers virtually so they could be part of our day with the rest of the team.

The vibrant atmosphere and the presence of our customers, created a sense of unity and celebration that was simply magical.

Team Spirit and Unforgettable Memories

The long-awaited moment arrived when we had the pleasure of meeting our talented website developers, Ben and Lewis, in the flesh.

After countless virtual meetings and digital brainstorming sessions, meeting them in person felt like meeting up with old friends.

The passion we all shared for fashion and the Goose Island brand was palpable, and it was a powerful reminder of the incredible team we had become.

We were lucky enough to be front row to see the royal procession.

The King and Queen, Prince William and Princess Catherine, graced us with their presence, adding to an already magical day.

It was a sight that will forever be etched in my memory.

 

A Day to Remember:

From admiring the diverse fashion choices to proudly strutting our stuff in our Goose Island outfits, the day at Royal Ascot was a whirlwind of unforgettable experiences.

We immersed ourselves in the sumptuous food options at the garden terrace, indulging in delectable food and cocktails.

As we walked back to the bus, giggling and sharing stories, it was evident that this day had created bonds that would last a lifetime.

As we geared up for the three hour journey back to Swansea, Angela, our own entertainment guru, surprised us all with her flawless rendition of Madonna's "Vogue."

Cerys, still sporting her fascinator insisted on keeping the spirit of Ascot alive, the fascinator didn't quite have the same desired effect paired with a summer dress and sandals!

Passers-by couldn't help but smile at the sight of us, a group of fashion enthusiasts unwilling to let go of the magic that engulfed us throughout the day.

As we finally reached our destination, having all caught the sun and with aching feet we bid farewell to an extraordinary day filled with fashion, laughter, and new friendships.

It was a day that reminded us of why we are so passionate about Goose Island and the power of fashion to uplift, inspire, and bring people together.

It had been an adventure that allowed us to not only showcase our unique fashion choices but also connect with our customers and revel in the joy of shared experiences.
